About Hot Shot
Hot shot landed at the rescue under tough circumstances—found tied up and abandoned outside the building overnight. From the moment staff greeted him with breakfast, he settled in and quickly returned affection. He’s a smart, loving Shar-Pei mix with a big personality and even bigger heart. Though it’s unclear if he’s housebroken, he keeps his room clean through the night and waits for someone to take him out in the morning. He heads straight for the play yard, knows exactly where to go, and comes back on his own—no leash required. His cleverness is apparent with every routine. Weighing around 75 lbs, hot shot is a solid, large dog—a bit on the hefty side, but the summer heat isn’t ideal for a fitness kick. He thrives on walks and gets a big kick out of the simplest pleasures, like rustling leaves or birds overhead. Hot shot enjoys being around kids but sometimes doesn’t realize the power of his size, so supervision is smart. He also gets along with other dogs, though he’s best matched with a dog closer to his own size so he’s not overwhelming.
