Haylee is a 9-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog mix with a big, goofy personality. She lost her original home when her owner passed away, and while her brother found a new family quickly, Haylee has been waiting at the rescue for years. She really thrives when she has plenty of space—she absolutely loves to run, play, and get the zoomies. Haylee has a reputation as a fence climber, so she has to be watched closely outside and really needs a yard with a tall, sturdy wooden or vinyl fence. She does well with most dogs but is an alpha female, so she doesn’t get along with other dominant females. With people and kids, she's incredibly sweet, lights up any room, and has energy to spare. Recently, Haylee had three growths removed that turned out to be mast cell tumors. She’s now on daily Benadryl, which is easy and affordable, and many dogs live a long, happy life with her diagnosis.
