Gorgeous is a stunning large Shepherd and Catahoula Leopard Dog mix currently cared for at Boudreaux's Animal Rescue Krewe (BARK). She has a beautiful short coat with blue merle and white/cream coloring, and striking two-colored eyes. This adult female is spayed and has her vaccinations up to date. After a challenging start in life, she is thriving and ready to find a loving home that will appreciate her uniqueness and playful spirit.

When she was first rescued, she was severely malnourished, had hair loss from poor nutrition, and clearly had experienced the hardships of motherhood. To make things harder, she also suffered leg injuries believed to have come from being hit by a vehicle on two separate occasions. Thanks to loving care at her rescue, she underwent a successful FHO surgery to restore her mobility and made an inspiring recovery, quickly earning herself a 2025 Bravery Award for her resilience and spirit during her rehabilitation. Now, Gorgeous is a spayed, 2.5-year-old Shepherd and Catahoula Leopard Dog mix who looks absolutely radiant with her healthy coat and full figure at 70 pounds. Her two different colored eyes make her especially unique and unforgettable! She is fun-loving, enjoys her walks on a leash, adores toys, and gets along with most other dogs, though she prefers companions who aren't too bossy. Her personality is a balance of playful affection and a bit of independence, a reflection of her early self-reliance. She’s suited for all types of families, whether you travel, love relaxing at home, or take daily strolls. A few things to note—Gorgeous is a bit of a climber and needs a home with a fully wooden fence, as she’s been known to escape when bored.
