About Marty

This could be the start of something paw-some. Marty is a two-year-old, large French Bulldog at 36 lbs, looking for a very particular kind of home in the Ontario, NY area—adoptions are limited to within 40 minutes of this location. He is mostly blind, partially deaf, and experiences separation anxiety, for which he is currently receiving medication. Marty is crate trained and, due to his condition, can be destructive if left unsupervised, so attentive companionship is a must. He requires an adult household; children under 12 are not permitted, and every member of the household must meet him in person. Marty gets along well with other dogs, but he can display some guarding behaviors, so experience with such issues is important. However, he is not suitable for homes with cats or young children. Marty enjoys walks, car rides, and chewing on benebones, and would thrive in a secure home environment with a fenced yard and a patient, understanding family. Please note that background checks are a part of the adoption process for his safety and success. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
