About Thor

Thor is a 9-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier who’s endured more homes than anyone should. After being found as a stray in 2018, he bounced through adoptions, rehomings, and surrenders—most recently ending up back in the rescue in 2025. Despite it all, Thor still has plenty of life and heart left to offer. He’s a sturdy, food-motivated gentleman who enjoys fetch, walks, gator rolling in the grass, and figuring out interactive toys. Thor’s crate trained and house trained, making him low-maintenance in the home. He’s dog selective and can be a bit pushy with other dogs, so he’ll do best with compatible canine friends or as a single pet. Not a fan of water, but always ready for a treat or game of fetch. He’s looking for a calm retirement home that can appreciate his energy without expecting him to get along with cats—he just won’t. Adoptions are limited to within an hour of Ontario, NY, though exceptions are possible for the ideal match. Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.
