About Rex
Rex is one of 29 dogs brought to safety after being rescued from difficult conditions in North Alabama. When help arrived, he and the others were scared but showed nothing but sweetness, even in their confusion and uncertainty. At Big Dog Ranch, Rex is finally in a safe space, receiving the medical attention, decent food, and care he waited too long for. He’s getting gentle support as he learns to trust again—sometimes discovering what kindness feels like for the first time. Some days, you see the results: he’s starting to accept leash walks, warming up to quiet words and careful affection. Rex’s journey isn’t over, but he finally has the chance to become a loyal companion in a calm, loving home willing to give him a fresh start.
