About Starburst
Starburst, known as Starr to her friends, is a 7-year-old German Shepherd mix with a calm presence and bursts of playful energy. Weighing in at 61 lbs, she’s mostly mellow but will greet you with a little twirl when excitement gets the best of her. Starr is fond of mealtime, enjoys puzzle toys, and looks forward to daily walks. She’s still learning leash manners—especially at the beginning of a walk—but quickly relaxes into an easy stride. Starr is quick to pick up new commands and is currently working on “paw” after mastering “sit.” Inside, Starburst proves herself as an ideal roommate: she’s house and crate-trained, calm, and noticeably affectionate. Starr gets along well with other dogs, including her smaller foster brother. Her soulful look and gentle nature make her impossible not to fall for. If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle companion who’ll brighten your days, Starburst is ready to join your family. Your new best friend is just one click away.

Questions about Starburst
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Starburst’s German Shepherd/Shepherd mix background means she thrives in homes with enough space to move around, ideally with access to a yard or close proximity to parks. She’ll do best in an environment where she can be included as part of the family.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Being a large shepherd mix, Starburst benefits from daily walks and room to roam, so a home with a fenced yard or regular access to outdoor areas is ideal. However, she adjusts well to urban living if her exercise needs are met.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
German Shepherd mixes like Starburst are generally gentle and loyal, making them a good fit for homes with children, provided interactions are supervised and respectful of both the dog’s and kids’ boundaries.
