Meet Sunny – a resilient, playful young shepherd looking for his forever home Sunny is a one-year-old White German Shepherd with a heart as bright as his name. This sweet boy has overcome a very difficult start to life. Before coming into rescue, Sunny experienced abuse, neglect, and starvation at the hands of his former owners, who have since been charged with animal cruelty. Despite everything, his gentle spirit shines through, and he has shown incredible resilience. Since being rescued by Bella’s 2nd Chance and settling into a loving foster home in Missoula, MT, Sunny has blossomed. He has gained healthy weight, discovered the joy of play, and embraced life as the puppy he was always meant to be. Sunny loves fetch, chewing on bones, tossing his favorite stuffy in the air, playing with other dogs, and lounging on the couch! Sunny is crate trained, house trained, and working on polite leash manners. He does appear to have seasonal allergies, which may need to be managed with supplements or food adjustments. Sunny is very much a classic German Shepherd. He is loving and loyal, but also vocal, alert, and naturally protective. Because of these strong GSD traits, Sunny needs an experienced German Shepherd owner - someone confident, consistent, and ready to take on the role of his trusted leader. Sunny will require a home with a securely fenced yard, as he’s an active young shepherd who needs room to run and explore safely. He would also do best with another well-balanced canine companion to help him continue building confidence and learning appropriate dog social skills. Sunny would thrive with an active family who can include him in daily life and adventures. He will do best in a home where he is not only cared for, but truly cherished as a valued family member.
