About Athena
Meet Athena, a lovely German Shepherd with a heart of gold who’s searching for a forever home. At just around 2-3 years old, she was sadly abandoned on the Flathead Reservation, but her spirit remains unbroken. Athena is unique for her breed; she’s gentle, affectionate, and well-mannered, traits that are often rare for young shepherds. Though she takes a moment to warm up to new faces, once she realizes she’s safe, her loyalty shines through. Expect plenty of kisses and sweet cuddles as she snuggles up next to you. She's also fantastic with children and can even be a little too affectionate with small kittens. Athena does experience some anxiety when left alone, so she would thrive best in a home where someone is usually present or where she has a friendly canine buddy. Whether roaming around the yard, curled up in a crate, or just having someone nearby, she settles in well but may feel stressed if left completely by herself. If you’re looking for a loving companion who’s sweet and gentle, Athena is the one. She’s ready for a forever home by July 9th, so don’t wait to reach out! Your new best friend is just one click away.
