Snowmelt creates muddy trail conditions and high water in the Clark Fork. Mount Sentinel and Jumbo trails dry out gradually. Bear activity increases in spring, so be aware on trails and carry deterrent.

Warm, dry summers are wonderful for outdoor activities, but wildfire smoke can severely degrade air quality in July and August. Check air quality indices before heading out with your pet. The river is popular for cooling off.
