About Nikki
Nikki is bright, loving, and truly one-of-a-kind. She’s currently working on her reactivity around strangers and making steady progress with her training. Nikki is proof that smart dogs can pick up just about anything; she knows a whole repertoire of commands and will happily show them off for treats. She thrives on high-pitched, encouraging voices and appreciates people who greet her with a familiar, friendly energy—and some snacks, of course. While she does well with older children who respect her space, Nikki isn’t a fit for homes with other dogs or cats. Big crowds aren’t her thing, and she prefers a calm, low-traffic household where she can settle in as the only pet. She’s great on leash walks, loves car rides, and never turns down a game of fetch—though she sometimes needs a reminder to drop the ball. Loud noises like thunderstorms and vacuum cleaners prompt her to look for a safe spot to hide, so she’ll need somewhere cozy to retreat during storms or when you have guests. Nikki enjoys cuddling on the couch but isn’t big on face-licking; she’s affectionate in her own sweet way. Her ideal adopter will provide a patient, steady routine and value her as an only pet.
