About Leah Lady
Leah Lady is a 12-year-old Chihuahua Terrier mix who weighs around 14 pounds, but don't let her age fool you—she has a bold, sassy streak and doesn't act like a typical senior. She can be timid and skittish when meeting new people, needing time and space to settle in, but once she feels safe, she becomes incredibly loving and affectionate. Leah Lady is house-trained in her foster home and comfortable in her crate. With sharp hearing and a strong set of lungs, she barks at birds, neighbors, and especially at thunder. She thrives best in a house with a yard; apartments and condos won't work for her vocal personality. Her early years left her with little social experience, but she enjoys new adventures and especially loves going for walks. She’s uneasy around young kids but does better with teens, given patience and understanding. Leah Lady does well as an only dog and wants most of the attention, although she’s had peaceful interactions with other calm, older dogs. She loves her toys but isn’t keen on sharing them with other dogs, so a home without toy-focused competition suits her best. Leah Lady is blind in her left eye from a cataract, with some vision left in the right, and needs periodic veterinary check-ups to monitor her eye pressure and previous tumor site. Leah Lady is looking for a committed adopter ready for her quirks, playful energy, and a bit of extra care to keep her healthy. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
