About Buddy Love

Buddy Love came to rescue after a rough start, found alone in a rural area. Since then, he has worked hard to rebuild his trust in people and has become a very good house dog. Now healthy at 55 lbs, his coat is glossy, and the "perfect eyeliner" around his eyes stands out. Buddy is fully housetrained and trustworthy with full access to the house, day and night. He prefers a comfy chair or dog bed over furniture and absolutely loves being around other hounds. He really thrives when there’s a confident dog—male or female—around to show him the ropes. Buddy’s social skills shine with other dogs, but he still stays cautious with new situations and strangers. Fenced yard playtime is a favorite, especially chasing squirrels with his long-legged stride. He rides well in the car and behaves on a leash. Buddy isn’t meant for busy city life; a quiet home and another dog for company would suit him best. His history makes him a little shy at first, but with patience, his gentle, sweet side comes through. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
