About Hawke

Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Meet Hawke—a gentle soul who's learning how to be loved. Through unimaginable hardships, including abandonment and being injured, Hawke's story is one of resilience and hope, made possible by a caring foster. His physical wounds have healed, and now he's ready for his next chapter. Though cautious with new people, Hawke reveals a sweet nature once trust is built. He shares affectionate kisses with his foster, gets excited around other dogs, and takes joy in every mealtime. Hawke enjoys time outdoors and grows more confident each day. Where once he sought comfort under a bush, he's now embracing a more secure life. Unfamiliar with commands and toys when he arrived, Hawke has quickly learned "sit" and "shake"—especially when treats are involved. He is potty-trained, walks nicely on leash, and doesn't require crating, although he's still gaining confidence around strangers. Hawke will flourish in a calm, patient home, ideally with another friendly dog but it's not a necessity. His perfect adopter is someone gentle and willing to let him set the pace. If you can offer love and understanding, Hawke is ready for his second chance. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
