Willow gets along well with other dogs and has made significant improvements in her health and coat since coming into care. She has a history of being underweight and having skin issues but is responding well to veterinary care and a loving foster home.
About Willow
Willow came to the rescue after spending too long on her own as a stray. At about 8 years old, she’d clearly learned to fend for herself outside and went without care for much of her life. She’s now safe, cared for, and finally getting proper veterinary attention. Willow’s foster says she is sweet and gets along well with the other dogs—she easily keeps up with the group and likes to be in charge during playtime. She has a personality that’s pure dachshund, but in appearance she’s more like a whippet or min pin, with those long legs. Her health is improving every day. Willow completed her heartworm treatment and has bounced back well. Her coat is coming in—she had hair loss and chronic skin issues when she first arrived, but her skin and fur have made noticeable progress. When she entered rescue, Willow was underweight, dehydrated, with a strong yeast odor and rough, scabby skin from her time outdoors. Thankfully, that's all turning around.
