About Nibs
What are you waiting for? Apply today! Nibs is happy, joyful, and debonair—possibly the bravest Lost Boy of them all and named after the iconic character from Peter Pan. Even though Nibs is a young deaf puppy, he faces life with courage and a joyful spirit. He’s a big, goofy boy who is as comical as he is affectionate—his playful antics and huge paws will win you over, though you might want to watch your toes! Nibs absolutely adores people and loves leaning in for pets, while his exuberant tail wags can easily catch you off guard. Despite his curiosity towards cats, a moment of feline aggression sends him scampering in the opposite direction. With other dogs, his enthusiasm is boundless, though being deaf makes him miss some cues—but he's quickly learning to understand body language. When it comes to kids, Nibs does well with everyone. Because he’s deaf, sudden movements from toddlers can startle him, and this could result in a little accidental collision, but Nibs adapts with impressive speed. This sweet boy never jumps up or slobbers; instead, he shows his love with belly rub requests and gentle leans. He's a delightful blend of playfulness and laid-back snuggler—enjoying toys, games of fetch (with a twist on tug-of-war), and the calm of a good nap. Hard chews like nylabones or Himalayan cheese sticks redirect his energy when he gets excited. Nibs is incredibly smart and picks up new skills fast, learning hand signs for commands like go, come, sit, lay down, and no. Even though he can get overly excited at times, he’s easily redirected and shows constant improvement. Nibs is the ultimate lovable, happy, and occasionally lazy snuggle buddy who will melt your heart. Since his birthday is in November, Nibs is a Scorpio—intuitive, loyal, and always ready to explore the world by sight and smell. Let your adventure together begin! Make their next chapter their best one yet.
