About Nibs

Nibs is joyful, brave, and has a knack for making people smile. Named after the bravest Lost Boy from Peter Pan, Nibs faces the world with confidence despite being deaf. He’s a big, goofy guy with a comedic edge—just watch your toes around his oversized feet, and be ready for tail wags that could sting like a whip. Nibs is eager for affection, leaning in for pets and soaking up every belly rub. His playful side shines when he’s fetching toys (but don’t be surprised if a game of tug ensues, or if he stashes his loot away for later). Tough chews like nylabones or Himalayan cheese help redirect his energy, and he’s quick to settle down for a nap or stretch out next to you. Nibs gets along well with other dogs, though his lack of hearing means he relies on body language to gauge their boundaries—he learns quickly. Cats are more of a curiosity; he’ll run if a feline seems aggressive, sometimes knocking things askew as he retreats. Around kids, Nibs is gentle and chill, but due to his deafness, he might startle if approached unexpectedly by a toddler. He’s never jumpy or licky, and he adapts smoothly to new routines and people. Training with hand signals has been a breeze: he responds to cues for crate, come, sit, lay down, and "no." When excitement gets the best of him, a gentle tap and sign help calm things right down. Despite bursts of puppy energy, Nibs loves lounging with his humans. He greets newcomers with caution, preferring chin scratches and sniffing before settling in for play or cuddles. Fun fact: Nibs is a Scorpio, which lines up with his bold, loving personality. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
