About Hank

They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Meet Hank! This smart guy is searching for his forever family. Hank is a 4-year-old, 95-pound bundle of energy and loyalty. He shines on the leash, knows his obedience commands well, and reliably goes to his designated “place” when asked—especially if a treat is involved! Hank thrives around other dogs and children, adores belly rubs, ice cubes, regular walks and runs, and basically never turns down a tasty snack. However, cats are not his favorite companions, and he views the mailman with bold suspicion. Hank is remote collar trained and loves an active lifestyle, making him a great fit for a home with a fenced yard. He’s an ideal mix of playful spirit and mature devotion, enjoying both activity and cozy blanket time. If you seek a loyal friend with both youthful zest and grown-up manners, Hank is your guy! All dogs from Adopt A Pit Rescue are spayed or neutered, current on all age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, and heartworm tested (with preventative if over six months). Please note, Adopt A Pit Rescue requires an approved application and a home visit within a two-hour radius of Dayton, OH prior to a meet and greet. If you’re outside that area, your local rescue or shelter may be able to help. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
