Jade is a petite 1-year-old female hound mix weighing about 34 pounds. She’s selective with other dogs but gets along well with male dogs and especially enjoys playing with Ivan (see his bio!). Jade has lots of energy and loves being outside, whether it’s playing or going for walks. She’s an active, playful dog looking for a home where she can stay busy and enjoy outdoor adventures. JADE came from a shelter in Georgia where she was going to lose her life due to pet overpopulation in that region. We were sent the photo of her adorable face and knew we had to take her into our care. Jade is a great girl that is best with boy dogs. She has endless amounts of energy and loves to be outside playing. (Note to Allison: currently it says that she is submissive but she is not. She is selective with the dogs she plays with but is sociable with some. Currently she goes outside with Ivan and has done great with him.) This pet is spayed or neutered in accordance with our strict policy wherein all animals are altered prior to adoption. This pet is de-wormed, current on vaccines, and started on monthly flea/tick preventatives. Animal Alliance does not adopt adult dogs (over 9 months old) into households with children under 9 years of age due to the risk of bites. Puppies 9 months of age or younger can be adopted into households with young children ages 4 and older. We do not adopt to families with children 3 years and younger or expectant families due to the safety risk for infants and toddlers.
