About Precious
Precious is a senior German Shorthaired Pointer with a kind, gentle soul shaped by a tough start. She spent much of her life lacking socialization, but she’s steady, quiet, and deeply sweet. After a rough snake bite at her previous home, she powered through infection and two surgeries with impressive resilience. These days she appreciates comfort—a soft dog bed, a cozy sofa if you invite her, and a household that understands slower trust-building. She adores children and is entirely safe even with small kids. Other dogs, especially GSPs, bring out her best: she lights up and enjoys their company. Precious isn’t a fan of cats and can be anxious around fireworks or in new settings. Car rides suit her, and she walks decently on leash though she gets nervous. She’s clever—watch your socks and shoes, as she’ll make off with them if given half a chance. Baths are not her thing. She needs a patient adopter, a physically fenced yard, and a good sense of humor for her little thefts. With time and gentle care, she’ll become a loyal, loving companion.
