About Dale

Dale is a survivor with a big heart. Over two years ago, he suffered a spinal injury after being hit by a car while living on a farm in Costa Rica. Unfortunately, he didn’t get immediate care, which affected his recovery odds. He spent the months leading up to his arrival in the US living with a vet who started him on regular laser therapy, and here he has continued to receive both laser and acupuncture treatments. Dale gets around well in his wheelchair (which is how he got his name—like the racecar driver), but he also moves pretty confidently out of it. Indoors, he wears a belly band just in case, and he’ll use the doggie door on his own. Dale thrives on affection and wants to be close to his people, following them throughout the house. He’s a cuddler and does wonderfully with children. Currently fostered with a dozen other dogs, he does not shy away from the pack and enjoys their company. He’ll need a committed home that can maintain his ongoing therapy, even though long-term results are uncertain given how long it’s been since the accident. After all he’s endured, Dale deserves the security of a loving home. He is in Queen Creek, AZ, but his foster can bring him to the Phoenix or East Valley area.
