About Saranac Aka "snacks"
Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Snacks (short for Saranac) is a lovable 6–7 year old, 100-pound Pit Bull mix whose big heart matches his size. He’s spent most of his life being a devoted, goofy, and gentle companion, always eager to snuggle on the couch and accompany his humans on quiet outdoor adventures. This big cuddlebug is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, house-trained, and knows his basic commands. Despite losing a few teeth in a silly hiking mishap, he remains healthy and spirited, with plenty of love still to share. Snacks does best in a calm setting. He has had disputes with neighbor dogs after getting loose from the yard, and his leash reactivity means he thrives in areas without constant dog traffic. For his happiness and safety, Snacks needs an experienced owner who understands leash reactivity, and a securely fenced yard is a must. He's amazing with kids (living with a 1 and 4 year old) and adores all humans, including strangers, but is not a fit for homes with cats. With careful introductions from an experienced owner, he could potentially live with a compatible dog, as he's done so in the past. His loving family is committed to helping this gentle soul find the right home, and they’re willing to travel to ensure he finds the perfect match. If you’re looking for a loyal companion and meet these requirements, Snacks is waiting to become your new best friend! Make their next chapter their best one yet.
