Meet Layla. Some dogs truly capture attention, and Layla is one of those remarkable souls. She came to the shelter as a stray, and from her first moments, it was clear she had an extraordinary calm and gentle demeanor. Greeting everyone with soft eyes and a wagging tail, she appeared to be patiently waiting for someone to notice her. Once out of her kennel, Layla's delightful personality blossomed. She walks wonderfully on a leash, loves exploring the outdoors, and takes treats with the utmost gentleness. Layla has a knack for posing, showing off her charm with an adorable bow. It’s this irresistible sweetness that brings smiles to everyone around her. With an easygoing nature, Layla has been relaxed during her stay at the shelter, handling temperament testing well. She generally interacts neutrally with other dogs, preferring to carry on with her day without drama. Individual introductions are still essential, but her behavior has been highly promising. Layla has a charming little quirk; she’s a subtle attention-seeker. On walks, she occasionally vocalizes when she wants companionship, as if to remind people just how lovable she is. Perhaps the most remarkable trait of Layla is her gentle spirit. Even after enduring uncertainty, she remains trusting, thriving whenever she receives a little affection and attention. Thanks to an incredible community effort, nearly $2,000 was raised for Layla’s care within hours, allowing her to leave the shelter for good. She is scheduled to arrive at LOLA'S Rescue on October 7. Now approximately 3 years old and around 50 pounds, Layla is heartworm low positive. She will need a dedicated foster to help her through her heartworm treatment and provide a comfy environment for recovery. The foster family will have the first chance to adopt her if they feel she’s a good match for their home. Layla is ready to embrace a life filled with love and companionship.
