About Chickadee

Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started. Chickadee is a sweet black and white American Shorthair kitten from the bird litter, rescued near the Avian Conservation Center of Appalachia. When she first arrived, she was shy, but she has blossomed in the comforts of a home and now enjoys the gentle luxuries of indoor life. She is still cautious—especially when hands approach her head directly—but warms up quickly if petted from her side or back. Chickadee rewards patient affection with enthusiastic purrs and has a priceless way of showing every emotion on her face, almost channeling her inner David Rose. Chickadee delights in snuggling on laps, kneading biscuits, and keeping you company at night. She thrives on routines with her person, like sharing lap time, gentle scritches, and sipping fresh water from the faucet while you get ready. She also loves exploring the catio and watching the world go by. Though new people may still make her shy, Chickadee's confidence continues to grow daily. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, flea treated, and tested negative for FeLV/FIV. Born on April 14, Chickadee is an adventurous Aries—meaning she often has a playful spirit and a heart full of curiosity. She is searching for her forever home where patience and understanding shine.
