Introducing Spud, the gentle giant with a heart as big as his paws! 🐾 Spud is a lovable 4-year-old who found himself in a bit of a pickle. His loving family from eastern Kentucky had to make the tough decision to surrender him, not because they didn’t adore him, but due to some neighborly challenges. Who knew that loving a pup could come with such drama? Thankfully, they reached out for rescue help to keep him safe. Now, this marvelous boy is ready to find a forever home where he can spread all his joy! Spud has lived harmoniously with both a Chihuahua and a cat (unless it's mealtime, then he becomes a little food thief! 🍽️). He adores people of all ages—from children to adults—and nothing makes him happier than hopping on a side-by-side for a little adventure! He’s also quite fond of the trash man and loves a good deer chase! 🦌 Although he’s only growled at one particular gentleman (who maybe had a bit too much fun that day), he’s generally a well-behaved boy! He believes he’s a lap dog, which, let’s be honest, is the essence of comfort! 🛋️ And guess what? In his new Iowa foster home, he’s blossoming into the most wonderful companion. Spud loves to follow his foster dad around, joining in on every activity, from chores to outdoor fun! He’s ready for zoomies in the yard a few times a day but also loves to chill and nap wherever his humans are. 💤 While he isn’t a fan of his crate (who is, really?), he’s learning and adapting. He may jump for joy when he’s extra excited or sometimes mark his territory, but hey, every boy has his quirks! Spud is housebroken as long as he’s let out every 4 hours, so a dedicated adopter to help keep him on track is key. This loving companion is waiting for you to open your heart and home!
