AvailableAbout Lady aka Ladybug
Lady Aka Ladybug and her companion Leo were left behind when their family moved, but Ladybug has handled the change gracefully. This senior Boxer/Pug mix—possibly with some Beagle in her—has a sweet, gentle spirit. Ladybug tends to be more independent, but still enjoys the occasional cuddle. At around 10 years old, she's spayed and up to date on her vet care. There are some quirks: a few lumps and bumps, distinctive snoring, and the tendency to gag as if she's about to spit up (though nothing ever happens). She’s totally housetrained and has access to the entire house when left loose, never causing trouble except for sneaking tissues or napkins if she finds them. Previously, she would eat stool, but her foster has been working on this with diet tricks like pumpkin and pineapple. Ladybug enjoys walks, stopping often for a good sniff, true to her Beagle instincts. When she hears dogs barking, she can get vocal, but usually listens to corrections. She doesn’t mind being left alone and welcomes new people with excitement. Playtime is a favorite—tug-of-war, chasing toys, or playfully nipping at hands under the covers all make her happy. She’s terrified of thunderstorms, fireworks, or even loud cheers while watching sports, reacting by looking for reassurance. Loud tools like vacuum cleaners aren’t her thing. Her past may have included neglect, so she needs a home with patience and gentle handling. Ladybug gets along with other dogs, cats, and children, making her a great fit for many families.
