About Shito
Shito is a resilient St. Bernard mix whose early life was anything but easy. He spent his first year confined in a tiny cage, then endured the desert heat while chained outside. After his former owner was charged with cruelty, Shito had to fend for himself until neighbors stepped in. It took patience and time to earn his trust, but Shito's spirit pushed him to open up. He thrives on affection—petting and brushing are his favorite things. Despite his rough past, Shito greets people happily, showers gentle kisses, and enjoys making those around him smile. He's a big, strong dog who is still learning to keep his excited paws down, but walks well on leash and responds quickly for treats. Shito warms up easily to new people, though he’s nervous around young children, so he'll do best in a home with older kids. Because of his background, Shito must be the only dog in the household, but his companionship will more than fill the space. He’s left hardship behind and is waiting for a family ready to help him start fresh. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
