About Cayenne
Cayenne is a St. Bernard mix who has weathered a harsh start to life. She spent her first year crammed in a filthy cage, then lived tethered in the desert heat until neighbors came to her aid. When her situation unraveled, Cayenne and her siblings were left to fend for themselves, wary of human contact. After nearly two weeks of patient rescue work, she found safety and the chance to heal. Despite her fear-filled beginnings, Cayenne shows immense resilience. Once given care and consistency, she began trusting, showing a remarkable affection and an eagerness to bond with people. She loves a good scratch or pat, greets you with a wag, and doles out kisses for free. This gentle giant is still learning to keep her paws on the ground but responds well to training and adores treats. She’s reliable on leash and quick to pick up commands. Cayenne usually loves meeting new people, but gets skittish around small children, so she’ll do best in a home with older kids. Given her history, Cayenne should be the only animal in her new home so she can relax and trust fully. She's young and large, so patience and strength from her adopter are important. She is spayed and vaccinated. Cayenne is ready for someone to show her what kindness feels like as she starts again. Let’s make her next chapter a good one. Ready to fall in love?
