Hi, I’m Kiara. Senior girl. Professional good dog. I’m a 10ish-year-young Shepherd mix weighing about 70 pounds of calm, polite perfection. I’m fully housebroken and so chill I’ve never needed a crate. I don’t destroy things, steal shoes, or cause drama. I mind my business. I live happily with dogs and cats and have excellent manners. Car rides are my absolute favorite. I enjoy sticking my head out the window like I’m in a shampoo commercial. Walks are easy, I’m great on and off leash, and I actually listen when you talk to me. Wild, I know. A fenced yard would be amazing because I love to wander around sniffing everything like it’s my job, but I’m not trying to escape. I just like to explore and then come back inside for a nap. I came into rescue in December unspayed with a mammary tumor, handled it like a queen, and I’m now spayed and tumor free. The biopsy showed a low-grade mammary carcinoma, so I just need routine check-ins. No big drama here. I do have a little arthritis, but I still trot around with my dog friends when I feel like it. I’m not a fan of my paws being touched and we’re working on that because boundaries matter. Treats are still a new concept for me but I am VERY interested in learning more. I don’t have kid experience, but I truly don’t have a mean bone in my body. I’m low maintenance, polite, and just want a warm, safe home with comfy spots to enjoy my golden years.
