X URGENT! DOWNEY, CA- SEAACA KILL SHELTER-ID #27-03470- “PUMPKIN” HANDSOME BUT NEGLECTED BOY LISTED AS A YOUNG CHOW BOY. MAY BE ON THE EUTH LIST SOON - NEEDS RESPONSIBLE FOREVER HOME, OR FOSTER AND RESCUE ASAP Please help us find a chow savvy or forever home (or foster and rescue) for this very handsome, but neglected boy found as a stray on 9/25. His owner never showed and he has met his legal retention on 10/1 and is now at great risk. The shelter estimates he is 3-5 years old, and says he weighs 46 lbs. His notes state, “able to handle and pet, matter fur, appears to have hot spots on front legs.” We are calling him “Pumpkin” and we are trying to find placement asap, as he is expected to be on a short deadline and the euth list soon in this very full shelter. Due to his urgent needs, we are looking for both a forever home, as well as a foster we can refer to as rescue to save him in time, as most rescues need a place for a dog to go. For direct adoption inquiries and adoption holds, please contact the shelter asap using his listing link: https://seaaca.org/adoptions/view-our-animals... or by calling (562) 803-3301 and providing the his ID. If Pumpkin is not already neutered, this will be done for an adopter. To foster for a rescue, please contact robinmorgan@cox.net or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network asap who is trying to assist with his placement, so we can try to pair you with a willing rescue. Rescues should call (562) 803-3301 x258 and email adoptionpartners@seaaca.org We will post videos, additional pictures and any updates on the Facebook post as we receive such here: https://www.facebook.com/783968124/posts/10169703138558125/?mibextid=wwXIfr Note: to view contents of links you will need to copy and paste each one separately into your browser.
