About Gummy Worm
Meet Gummy Worm, a tan and white scruffy terrier who's looking for a patient and loving home. Rescued by a good Samaritan along with five other dogs, he was found running down the road. Initially a bit unsure with new people and environments, Gummy Worm tends to be barky and anxious at first but warms up over time. He's still learning basic skills like potty training and leash walking, so patience will be key in his transition. Positive reinforcement training will be crucial for helping him develop his confidence and bond with his new family. Gummy Worm has interacted with other dogs at the shelter, showing a preference for having his personal space, especially regarding food and toys. A meet and greet with prospective canine companions at the shelter is recommended. Unfortunately, there’s no history regarding his behavior with cats or children. The Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter Foundation is providing “Pawsitivity Bucks” with every dog adoption, offering a $200 training voucher to help newly adopted canines and their guardians establish a strong connection with positive reinforcement training consultants.
