About Buddy

Buddy is a 5-year-old Newfoundland mix who’s ready for his next chapter. He came to the Shelter due to changes in his previous guardians' lives, having spent 4.5 years in a loving home. This gentle giant has experience living with other dogs and was always good with children, though his size sometimes makes him a bit clumsy. He’s shown curiosity toward cats, but they often ran away from him. Buddy is well-adjusted, using a doggy door in his last home and being calm when left alone. Since arriving at the Shelter, he has been friendly and easy to handle, showing a playful spring in his step during outings. He met a female mastiff mix on a leash with good manners, but any resident dogs should meet him beforehand. For cats, a slow introduction is advised. Buddy is available for pre-adoption and will be neutered soon. His new family will receive a $200 training voucher through the "Pawsitivity Bucks" program to help strengthen their bond.
