About Cornelia
Meet Cornelia, affectionately known as Chicken. This charming young Chihuahua packs a lot of personality into her small frame. With her energetic and affectionate nature, Cornelia thrives on being involved in family activities. Currently in a foster home, she's proving to be a quick learner, mastering several commands like sit and potty while enjoying playtime—especially with fetch. A unique treat? She loves blueberries! However, Cornelia comes with a few challenges her new family will need to navigate. She can be nippy and has shown some resource guarding tendencies with food and toys. Additionally, she can be fearful around strangers and new surroundings. Her foster family is committed to her training, but she will need a patient and consistent approach from her future owners. She's also a work in progress in housetraining and leash walking. Cornelia enjoys socializing with other dogs and would benefit from having a playful, confident canine sibling to help guide her. Ideally, she should join an active household with experienced dog owners who can provide plenty of playtime and structure. Given her nipping and guarding issues, a home without very young children would be best, although older, dog-savvy kids might fit in well with supervision. Cornelia is a spirited little pup ready to share her love and energy with the right family. She may not be the easiest puppy, but with the right support and continued training, she has the potential to become a fantastic companion. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
