He adores exploring the outdoors and dreams of having a backyard to lounge in. Slow afternoons are his ideal way to spend a day. Remmy’s journey hasn’t been easy. Found wandering the streets in Houston, he was left to fend for himself. While we may never know why he was discarded by those who should have cared for him, his resilience shines through. He's affectionate, gentle, and loves the calm of life. He does well with cats and may prefer to be your only canine companion. Slow introductions to other dogs are crucial, but he's open to building those friendships. Currently heartworm positive, he is undergoing treatment, but that doesn’t dampen his spirit. Adopting a senior isn’t about taking on someone else's problem. It's about the privilege of bringing joy to a dog who still has plenty of love to give. Remmy won’t judge you for your car, your income, or your cooking. All he wants is a place at your feet, a voice calling his name, and the certainty that he’s home.
