About Nena

Meet Nena, a resilient pup with a story of survival. Born on the bustling streets of Cairo, Egypt, she was rescued along with her siblings and placed in a shelter, which sadly became a breeding ground for illness. Nena bravely fought through the odds but lost her siblings to distemper. Fortunately, an American rescuer returned just in time to bring her to safety. While the experience has left its mark, Nena is a playful and loving dog, always eager to play with others. She presents with moderate heart valve regurgitation, which her vets indicate is manageable with proper medication and regular check-ups. Nena is hoping for a family that understands her special needs and is prepared for the ongoing care she may require. This sweetheart does well with children and gets along with other dogs, making her a fantastic companion for families. Transport is available nationwide, so don’t hesitate to inquire. Every animal deserves a happy ending, and Nena is ready to begin her new chapter!
