About Nena
Meet Nena, a playful and loving girl with a heartwarming story. Nena was born on the streets of Cairo, Egypt, where a kind rescuer took her and her siblings into her home. Eventually, they found their way to a shelter that turned out to be quite unsafe. Unfortunately, distemper swept through her litter, and by the time her American rescuer returned, several siblings had already passed away. Nena and a few others were brought back to safety, but she was the only one who survived after months of medical care. While distemper left her with moderate heart valve regurgitation, she remains in good spirits and simply needs some medication and an annual check-up to stay healthy. Nena is a goofy, affectionate girl who enjoys playing and spent her days wrestling and racing with other dogs at her boarding facility. She's looking for someone to give her a chance to thrive after such a challenging start in life. Could that someone be you? Transport is available nationwide. Ready to meet your new best friend?
