About Ritz

Meet Ritz! This petite tabby is currently in a foster home and is around 4 years old. Her journey has taken her from another shelter to the Humane Society of Carroll County, and she’s still adjusting. Ritz tends to be a bit timid at first, taking her time to warm up to both humans and other animals. However, once she starts to feel comfortable, she transforms into a loving companion, eager for affection and pets. She has a unique way of marking her territory, circling around you to add her scent. Ritz appreciates her personal space and prefers to approach on her own terms. Because of this, she would do best in a home with older children and likely older pets. After six weeks in foster care, she is learning to play and can be a playful partner with a fellow cat. She's also a fantastic reading buddy, often curling up next to you while you enjoy a good book. If you're patient and respectful of her boundaries, Ritz will repay you with sassy love. This little character is waiting to steal your heart in Westminster, MD. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
