About Barbie
Meet Barbie! This adorable little scruffy girl is just 17 pounds of brindle cuteness. With her wiry coat and sweet face, she's the kind of dog that can easily wrap around your heart. Though a bit shy at first, Barbie warms up quickly with a little tender encouragement, especially some gentle baby talk. Once she feels comfortable, she’ll shower you with kisses and love. Barbie came to Anderson Humane from a partner shelter in Oklahoma and tested positive for heartworm upon arrival. This doesn’t dampen her spirit or make her any less deserving of a loving home. In fact, a cozy environment is the ideal place for her to recover during her treatment, which your supportive clinic team will guide you through. Heartworm is transmitted via mosquitoes, not through interactions with people or other pets. This little girl has already been through quite a lot and is ready for her next adventure. She thrives on affection and would make a wonderful companion for anyone willing to show her love. Stop by to meet her in person during our adoption hours to see if she’s the right fit for you. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
