MEET RIKER! STATS: 6 Years Old, neutered, American Staffy Mix, 70 lbs AFFECTION/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m Riker and I am a sweet and gentle 6-year-old boy looking for my soft place to land. I am a super laid back dude and I'm looking for someone who holds my similar values: the importance of relaxation and snuggles At my adult age of 6, I have gotten through my puppy years and now I'm just looking for someone to chill-ax with! I am so loving laid back, and chill. Sure, I can play with the youngin’s, but I'm not over the top with it and know when it’s time so sit back and relax. WHAT I LOVE: I like to play with the younger pups, but I'm a pretty chill boy and prefer the gentle and dainty dogs. I love going on walks, hanging out in the yard, and enjoying the company of both my dog and human friends. I have such an infectiously sweet personality – you’ll instantly start feeling at ease when you’re hanging with me! I have the most gentle and sweet demeanor and there is no limit to how much love I have to give! I'd be happy just so sit next to you and enjoy your company! I get my bursts of playful energy, but they don’t last too long and then I'm ready to lay down and feel the breeze on my fur. I am super easy-going and would be such a great best buddy! KIDS: While I haven’t been formally tested with kids at the shelter, the staff thinks I would do well with kids that are kind and respectful towards me. OTHER DOGS: I enjoy spending time with other chill dogs! I go to the gentle and dainty playgroup here at the shelter every day! CATS: Unknown HIS MATCH: I would love a relaxed home where I can get all the pets and naps I desire! I don’t ask for much – a soft place to sleep and someone to give me some quality back scratches. I would do wonderfully with another chill dog, but I would also thrive as an only dog. : I just want someone to pet me, give me cuddles, and tell me I'm handsome! Every adoptable pet is Spayed or Neutered, implanted with a microchip, current on age appropriate vaccinations including a current 1-year Rabies Vaccination, and current on monthly Flea/tick prevention, and heartworm prevention for dogs. All pets are behaviorally and medically evaluated prior to being placed up for adoption. Adoptions are matched based on best placement and require no negative animal history.
