Let us introduce you to adorable Avery! About 6 months old and likely getting ready to grow up to be around 40 - 50 pounds, Avery is a young boy who would like to be as close to his human as possible as he explores the world and figures out that things don't need to be scary. Good with kids and other dogs, he likes playtime in the backyard (as long as you are outside with him), enjoys a walk though might pull when he sees doggie friends and is happy to supervise while you work from home. Avery is potty trained and whines by the door when he needs to go out. He is well behaved in the house which is good because he is not a fan of being crated. He is practicing at this foster home and will sleep in the crate at night as long as one of the humans is sleeping close by. Avery and his stuffed bear (his favorite toy) are ready to conquer the world and continue to learn. Are you ready to show him the way? Interested in meeting this dog? Visit our website (https://www.sccrescue.org/) to fill out an application and to find out where this dog may be shown this weekend. We love our dogs. We want happy lives for all of them and are looking for the home that provides the best fit for each dog's individual needs. Please understand that there may be multiple families interested in this dog. Also, please know that the breed mix listed is simply a guess. In most cases, we don't know their background. We encourage you to base your decision on individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on our guess. Please understand, we only adopt our animals out near the Chicagoland area. Questions? Email us at adoptions@sccrescue.org. Hope to see you become part of the SCCR family!
