About Thunder in NJ Loves

Meet Thunder, a lovable, energetic, and wonderfully entertaining boy who is ready to bring a whole lot of fun and affection to his forever home! Thunder was lovingly raised from puppyhood in Virginia, but it turns out that protecting chickens wasn't quite his calling. Those clucking, clattering chickens were simply too much fun to chase! Now he's looking for a family who will appreciate his playful spirit, big personality, and endless enthusiasm for life. Thunder is a smart, eager-to-please boy with an impressive repertoire of tricks. He knows sit, lie down, crawl, circle, drop it, and roll over. Best of all, he always comes when called. Plus, heโ€™s leash trained and kennel trained. This handsome boy loves people and is always excited to meet someone new. He was raised in a home with 4 children and is wonderful with older kids. He's also great with other dogs and absolutely longs for canine companionship, so a playful dog friend would make him very happy. He's good with wise cats, too! Thunder's favorite activities include fetching, especially with his beloved Chuck It! Ball, playing tug-of-war, climbing rocks, and enjoying a good romp outside. He LOVES drinking from the garden hose, and he's always ready for belly rubs, bones, and treats. - Eggs are his favorite snack! He's also a loyal companion who will follow his person step for step throughout the workday, happily keeping you company as you go about your business. He loves chasing frogs, playing tag with deer along the fence line, and keeping the property free of rabbits, mice, raccoons, opossums, and skunks! He also has a particular dislike of hawks, crows, and buzzards, although he's perfectly content to watch the little birds at the feeder. Thunder's ideal home would be with an active family who has a big, 4-foot fenced yard, another playful dog, and lots and lots of toys. He would adore a family who enjoys outdoor adventures and can give him plenty of exercise, enrichment, and love. In return, Thunder promises endless entertainment, loyal companionship, enthusiastic kisses, and plenty of opportunities for belly rubs. He's ready to bring his own special kind of thunder into the hearts of his forever family! NYS Registered Rescue # RR102 NGPR dogs are in foster homes at the location specified on their full listing.
