Meet Delgado! Delgado’s story could have ended before he ever got the chance to experience what it means to be loved, but thankfully, he got his second chance! He was found wandering the streets of San Antonio and picked up by Animal Care Services. After spending seven days at the shelter, he landed on the euthanasia list due to overcrowding and limited space. We couldn’t let his story end there, so Delgado came into our rescue and is now safe while waiting for his forever home. Delgado is an incredibly sweet, loving boy who gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes, big and small! Cats, however, aren’t really his thing, so a cat-free home would be best. He absolutely loves people — men, women, and children alike! He’s always happy to make a new friend and soak up all the love and attention he can get. Delgado enjoys playing ball, going for walks, exploring hiking trails, and getting out to enjoy life’s little adventures. But don’t let his adventurous side fool you! After a fun day of exploring, he’s more than happy to come home, kick back, and enjoy a nice, long nap. He’s the perfect combination of adventure buddy and laid-back house companion! He also knows his basic commands and is crate trained, making him a wonderful addition to a family looking for a well-rounded, affectionate companion. Delgado has already overcome so much. Now, all that’s missing is a family to call his own — someone to take him on adventures, play ball with him, share the couch, and remind him every day that he’s finally home. He’s waited long enough for his happily ever after. Could you be the one to give it to him? http://shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/NASD/Dog
