About Winston

Meet Winston – your little cloud of happiness! At roughly 2 years old and weighing around 11 pounds, Winston packs a lot of personality into his small, fluffy frame. This charming white Shih Tzu mix recently arrived at the shelter and has had a rough start, showing up with a severely matted coat. However, after a much-needed groom, he’s looking sharp and feeling great! Winston may be a tad shy when meeting new people, but with a little time and patience, his sweet nature emerges. Soon, you’ll see his playful side as he wins you over! He can be a bit nervous around other dogs initially, but with thoughtful introductions and time, he warms up nicely to his canine companions. Given his small size and sometimes-nervous disposition, Winston would thrive in a home with older, respectful children who understand that little pups need gentle handling. Continued training will help build his confidence and teach him the essential skills to be a loving family member. Now that Winston has had his makeover, he’s ready for his most important transformation yet – from a shelter pup to a cherished family member.
