Hi there! I'm Tawny, a 43-pound Husky/Shepherd mix with a sweet personality and a nose that just can't resist a good adventure! I'm a mellow girl who enjoys exploring new places and sniffing out every interesting smell I can find. Shelves, tables, cabinets, and even trash cans might hold hidden treasures, so I like to investigate everything! I enjoy fuzzy toys that I can shake around, and I'm a HUGE foodie who gets completely focused when delicious food is involved. I'm gentle when taking treats, do wonderfully with brushing, and enjoy meeting new people, even if the smells around me sometimes steal the spotlight! I'm a curious but fairly relaxed companion who enjoys taking my time and discovering the world around me. I walk nicely on a leash with just a little pulling, and I'm happy going in and out of my kennel without any fuss. I'm still learning my manners and don't know any tricks just yet, but with patience, praise, and tasty treats, I'm sure I can learn! My adoption fee of $225+tax covers the cost of my care and stay here at the humane society. All Pennington County residents must also pay an additional $8 licensing fee at time of adoption.
