Larry’s introduction is a simple one: a 6-year-old, 77-pound dog who welcomed kindness from the people helping him. The officers who brought him in described him as friendly and reported that he allowed petting, leashing, and the trip into the shelter without difficulty. Staff also found him friendly and comfortable with handling during intake. There is still plenty to learn about Larry, including his favorite activities and what he enjoys in a home. His compatibility with dogs, cats, and children is unknown. An adopter will have the opportunity to get acquainted gradually, establish familiar routines, and discover the individual behind those first friendly impressions. All adoptions include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home. Adopted pets are vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before leaving the shelter's care. To view our current available animals, please visit: https://indy.gov/activity/adopt-a-pet.
