Chocolate Is Our Favorite! Meet Parker! Showing up to his finder’s property and not wanting to leave the porch and the good company he found there, Parker comes to us as a stray. But, not before his finder was able to learn that this adorable chocolate lab mix is super sweet and he even knows sit! And look at that precious face! Since he has been with us, he met a spayed female his same size. He was rushed to see her first thing, and his new friend laid down to greet him, accidently kicking him. This sweet boy didn’t know what to think and got a little vocal with her, but once we let them meet again, with no chance for high kicks, there were no issues at all! They both then started to play some and Parker got vocal with his new friend, but this sweet old man never offered to do anything, just fuss. Kind of like his version of ‘Grumpy Old Men’, but he’s too sweet to be grumpy! Please come and ask to meet this sweet guy in person, to see if his forever is meant to be spent with YOU! Meet and greets with other dogs and children are always recommended. We don’t know how he does with cats and have no way to test for this. We are first come, first served, in person adoption center at 430 Bristol Drive, Statesville, NC. Hours: Monday–Friday 12–5 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m.–2 p.m. If you cannot promise forever with true love and compassionate care, please wait until you can make that commitment before adopting. Adopters must establish veterinary care after adoption to maintain their new family member’s health and wellness.
