Meet Vlad the Impaler of Treats! Formerly known as Beam, this little guy is an estimated 1-year-old Chow mix with a gentle, watchful soul. He's still learning that the world isn't so scary, so he'll thrive in a calm, patient home that appreciates a dog who bonds on his own timeline and rewards that trust with total devotion. Highlights: - House trained - Crate trained - Good with dogs of all sizes - Not yet cat tested - About 26 lbs - Working on leash training - Best in a calmer home, loud kids may be too much for this sensitive boy **Personality:** Vlad is observant in classic Chow fashion. He can be shy at first, but he's making wonderful progress every day. He's selective with his affection in the best way, it means something when he chooses you. He opens up greatly with another dog in the home or just in his presence. He looks to other dogs for guidance, so having a happy and confident dog in his forever home will help him gain trust with his new people. **Fun fact:** When Vlad gets nervous, he strikes an awkward downward-dog yoga pose, his signature move, and his foster's favorite quirk. He came to the rescue as a shy boy who had to be trapped for capture, and he's been bravely stretching (literally) out of his shell ever since. If you're the kind of person who understands that the shy ones love the hardest, Vlad is waiting to be your most loyal companion. P.S. - He is fully grown! **Vlad is being fostered in Oklahoma City, OK. Paid transport can be arranged. Transport costs range from $200-400.** If you are interested in adopting, please complete an application @ https://form.jotform.us/41173109602142.
