All the way from Puerto Rico, meet your new best friend, Milo! He's a 1.5 to 2-year-old Husky mix who weighs 53 pounds (as of 11/5/26). This handsome chap lived on the streets of San Juan before jumping into the car of a local resident and refusing to leave! He wanted to be rescued and is excited to meet his fur-ever family! What else is on his wish list? Feeling loved and secure. Milo is extremely affectionate; loves to kiss you and could stay for hours being pet like he's at a fancy doggy spa. He's a happy, easygoing dog who also enjoys playing and entertaining himself with pet toys. His favorite game? Toss and catch. Did we mention he's also a genius? When Milo's not solving algebraic equations, he's learning basic commands like “No, sit, stay, come, and let's go.” If he hasn't seen you in a long time, he'll get really excited but he's learning to greet without giving you a bear hug. He can't help it! You're the bees knees! At his foster's house, Milo has become great friends with their two small and medium dogs and even tried to play with their cats (though they're still shy around Milo). He also sweetly licks children, mainly because they taste like blueberry lollipops! A typical day for Milo includes: - Early feeding with a 30-minute walk. He has learned to relieve himself during the walks; but sometimes does it in the yard anyway. - Playing and resting - Second feeding in the afternoon then playing in the park with his doggie pals - Playing the cello to entertain his people. He knows the classics! - Laying down with you after a long day Milo is a wonderful, handsome dog that would easily adapt to his forever home. Once you get to know and spend time with him, you’ll love him forever! All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be. To adopt or learn more about Milo, you must fill out an adoption application. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works. Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
