Warden is a 4.5-month-old (11/12/2026) male Scottish Terrier mix who is looking for a family to show him what being a loved puppy is truly all about. True to his name, this resilient little guy was found abandoned at a prison. He is currently learning how to be a carefree puppy in a world that originally threw him away. He is looking for a patient, loving human to help him rewrite his story. Warden is a soulful puppy who is still learning to trust people. Because of his rough start in life, he can be unsure around new human friends, but he deeply wants to be loved. Once he knows he is safe, his favorite currency is affection. As a growing terrier pup, Warden is a fantastic eater who never misses a meal. He is also in his prime puppy chewing phase and loves to chew on just about anything—he will just need plenty of appropriate chew toys, Nylabones, and guidance to keep his busy mouth occupied! Because he missed out on early socialization, he is currently shy and timid around other dogs, preferring slow, gentle introductions. Warden's biggest hurdle is that he does not like to be alone. He thrives on companionship and comfort, and he is looking for a home where he can feel secure and cherished. A patient, understanding household where someone is home more often than not. Because he dislikes being alone, a family that works from home or has a flexible schedule would be a dream come true. A family dedicated to positive-reinforcement training to help build his confidence, guide his chewing habits, and show him that humans are safe. He can likely live with another calm, gentle dog, but he will need slow, supervised introductions since other dogs make him nervous right now.
