Paprika is a tiny little beagle mixed girlie who is looking for a home and cannot believe that nobody has snatched her up yet! At just a year and a half old and a scant 24ish pounds, this perfect little nugget is going to make an amazing companion for some lucky family! Paprika is one of four beagle mixes left in our care that came from a house of horrors in Columbiana County. Saved by the Columbiana County Humane Society from a less than clean life, these little beagle dogs astound us every single day with their joy and sunny outlook on life. Paprika was one of two that was suffering from an allergic reaction to fleas when she was rescued. It took a little longer to get her right, but she is all healed up, totally flea free, and ready to go! Paprika is an active young girl, but one who also completely enjoys quiet time and tons of attention. She is so very people oriented - seems to have never met a stranger, will lean in close for cuddles at any moment in time, is absolutely okay with using your lap as a pillow, and wants nothing more than to be the love of someone's life. She does well with other dogs, would probably learn to live with cats with a little bit of training, and is great on a leash. She would do well in a home with kids - probably of all ages. She's very easy going and utterly sweet. Just like a beagle should be! She will likely need a little work on house training, but we do not think that these dogs lived in those horrible conditions their whole lives - just the latter half of them. They know what it is to be house pets, it's just that things got a bit out of hand there for a while. While a fenced yard is not required for Paprika, her new owners should be cognizant of the fact that beagles have a bad habit of following their nose and not even realizing they're lost until they are LOST. While she may never be trustworthy unsupervised off lead, if you are diligent, she will be happy to never leave your side.
