Meet Maggie! Maggie is about 6-8 years old and around 50 lbs, and from the looks of it, she's spent a good portion of her life being a mama. Her babies may be long gone, but the evidence remains... Maggie is proudly rocking the mom bod. She's a shy girl who needs a little time to decide that you're safe. When she gets nervous, she sometimes does what we lovingly call the "pancake" - flattening herself to the ground and hoping maybe nobody notices her. But lately, we've started seeing little glimpses of the Maggie hiding underneath all that uncertainty. Her tail is wagging. She's starting to approach people on her own. She's getting more comfortable every day. And watching her realize that people can be kind is pretty special. Maggie doesn't need someone who expects her to walk in and immediately be the life of the party. She needs someone patient enough to let her come out of her shell at her own pace - someone who will celebrate every tail wag, every brave little step forward, and the day the pancake finally decides she'd rather be beside you. If you have a soft spot for the overlooked ones, the mama dogs, the wonky ears, and the dogs who just need a little extra time... Maggie might be your girl. Give this sweet mama the chance to learn what it feels like to be somebody's baby for a change.
